Could you share the story behind Your Brand Travel and what inspired you to create it?
I've loved the travel industry since I started in 1998, working in different roles that deepened my passion. The inspiration for Your Brand Travel originated during my studies amidst the pandemic. I noticed many brands in fashion, retail, media, and banking had their own travel businesses. After interviewing many brands, I found they had various needs related to activities and travel, like building community, increasing loyalty, generating leads, and creating immersive brand experiences. Many were spending a lot on travel solutions that weren't the best or the most affordable. I realized a better solution could be made at a fraction of the cost and easy to scale.
How has Your Brand Travel evolved since you started it, and what are the key aspects of your role as founder that you find most rewarding?
As with most new ideas, it was initially challenging to clearly articulate what I wanted to do, which made it difficult to explain the concept to the first team members and others involved. I am incredibly grateful for our amazing team, characterized by persistence and the belief that nothing is impossible. My role involves collaborating with different teams both internally and externally, and developing the product and vision of the company during these fast-paced early phases, where significant changes often occur weekly. My days generally consist of meetings during the day, with evenings dedicated to tackling various tasks, often administrative.
What unique qualities or approaches do you believe set Your Brand Travel apart in the travel and experience industry?
Your Brand Travel is designed to meet the needs of brands, especially in fashion, lifestyle, media, and also membership organizations. Our unique approach connects travel directly to their e-commerce platforms. Many brands today sell a lifestyle, not just products, so we add tailored travel experiences to create immersive brand engagements. We keep improving our technology to meet these specific needs.
What were some of the pivotal experiences or professional insights that shaped your vision for Your Brand Travel?
My experience in the travel industry and working with various groups over the years has given me a keen sense and joy in creating 'wow moments' that customers value. I believe that this is something brands need to create memorable journeys. Additionally, I think my previous experience in starting travel agencies from scratch, both for others and for myself, is an important experience I bring with me.
On the other hand, the journey with Your Brand Travel, which differs from the traditional method and involves a lot of testing and research, has taught me not to let negative feedback affect me or the team, especially during challenging times. Changing my perspective on how I view challenges has helped me significantly in this process.
Outside of leading Your Brand Travel, how do you like to spend your free time? Are there hobbies or interests that help fuel your creative process?
I cherish spending time with my family and friends, and I enjoy cooking great food. Of course, traveling is a priority whenever I have the opportunity. The last few years have been quite busy, but now I have returned to my workout routine, which is the best way for me to recharge my energy and keep pushing forward.
